Bebe was always staring at the sun
Her eyes would burn and flood with water
It wasn’t like her to endure such pain
But she couldn’t look away
How was it that a ball of fire millions of miles away could sting so much?
How did it harm but make things grow?
How could Bebe harness such a power?
There must be a way
She went to her room late at night with a stolen candle and matchsticks
With all the lights turned low, she lit the flame
And watched it slowly melt away the wax
Was this it?
Was now the time to burn the world or watch it bloom?
There was no telling what Bebe would do next
She stared at that flame
She stared as her hair caught fire
